Situated in Capel Dewi some 4 miles from Carmarthen in South West Wales, the Ffos Y Ffin Brewery is a small independent brewery producing superb beers and ales supplying pubs in Carmarthen and the surrounding area.
Located on a working dairy farm in the heart of rural Carmarthenshire, their newly established micro brewery produces a range of real ales, both bottled and casked. The brew liquor is sourced from the private well on the farm and this natural supply provides the unique character of the real ales.
Y Polyn is pretty much a restaurant in a pub setting (although anyone is welcome to call in just for a pint) - which in this instance means it's relaxed, warm, inviting and based on offering good food at reasonable prices. You'll find that everything is made on the premises from bread to ice cream, and that there is an emphasis on buying locally and an even bigger emphasis on buying quality. You'll also find friendly, enthusiastic staff who actually enjoy their work but you won't find much in the way of standing on ceremony, and you'll be glad to know that you can pour your own wine.
